Long-Overdue Updates
Apologies for not updating anything at all for so long. I have been very busy the past few months, but I have more free time now so I will be able to actually update things! This is a very long post that has lots of information about things that have happened recently and things that will happen soon.
Voicebank Announcements
A lot of things have changed about my voicebanks recently, so here is a long list.
Suigin Koora CVVX becomes VCVX
While I will continue to use my CVVX system, my own newest voicebank will use a separate thing called VCVX. It’s basically VCV, but with extra CVVC phonemes and ending VCs and some other stuff, which will be detailed once that voicebank comes out. While I did record Suigin Koora CVVX in the pitches/tones I specified before, I determined that the recordings were low quality and I wanted to prioritize pronunciation quality over pitch range. The demo song is already on YouTube (the video is at the bottom of this post).
Suigin Koora DiffSinger Updates
Suigin Koora’s DiffSinger voicebank now has much, much more data. After labeling all of the recordings from the aforementioned CVVX and VCVX voicebanks, its pronunciation, tone, and range are much more representative of how my voice actually sounds. Additionally, I labeled all of the data from its S-CVVC FULL voicebank (mentioned later), so it has much more accurate data for consonants (vowels were generally fine before, but they’re more clear and precise now). Demo song coming soon!
OIL No Longer NeoDiva FEATURE Vocalist
Due to a the way that NeoDiva FEATURE vocalists work, OIL is no longer listed as a NeoDiva Feature. He is still trained monthly (and soon will have more data), but will only be downloadable from my website and I am in charge of marketing, which I’m totally content with. The demo song is undecided right now, so if you have any suggestions please let me know!
Suigin Koora’s New English UTAU Voicebank
After I was dissatisfied with the audio quality and pronunciation of Suigin Koora’s GrayGlish voicebank, I decided that I wanted a new UTAU voicebank. This new one is recorded using Salem Wasteland’s English “FULL” reclist. The recordings are much higher quality, and it has a bunch of extra phonemes compared to the old english voicebanks.
Ely CVVX Becomes CV-VV
Since Ely CVVX was quite low-quality (partially due to the recording environment being noisy and partially because of the way the voice provider pronounced the vowels), I experimented with making it CV-VV, and I think it sounds much better now!
MANY New Voicebanks!
Since I recorded OIL CVVC (V2), I have recorded with 4 other people! Here are short descriptions:
Mizuki Mae, a soft feminine vocal with a low range. Mono-pitch Japanese CVVX voicebank.
ASH, a neutral feminine vocal with a breathy tone. Mono-pitch Japanese CVVX voicebank.
CHAR, an androgynous vocal with an American accent. Mono-pitch CV
Unnamed CVVX voicebank with an androgynous tone. Mono-pitch CVVX
Songs
So. Many. Demo. Songs.
I currently have 6 demo songs on my YouTube channel, but I have a total of 18 different singers. They will all get demo songs eventually, although some will likely be quite shorter songs or sections of songs. The main ones I’m working on right now are Suigin Koora EN S-CVVC and Kobayashi Umeko VCVX’s demos, but I currently have 20 demo song song projects in my songs folder. I will try to do a better job of posting blog updates once I upload them!
Site
Simplified Singer Pages
Since a lot of my voicebanks are private, I am going to simplify their pages. The public voicebanks will still have lots of information, but the ones that aren’t public will just have a short summary, a sample audio, and a demonstration song if applicable.
Misc Updates
DeepVocal Album - Sounds of the Deep
I am working on a DeepVocal collaboration album. Sign-ups are closed and more info will come when more things are decided. Stay tuned!
Voicebank Distribution
Something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately is voicebank distribution. Right now, I upload them to Google drive when I feel like they’re “good enough,” which works fine but isn’t really optimal. I’m going to change this to something else (I’m working on a piece of software that should make it easier), and I’ll make an update when the new system is in place.
Another part of distribution that’s difficult is explaining to people how to use CVVX/VCVX. It’s a long process to install and use, so I found a presamp.ini file (which will be included with those voicebanks) that makes them function properly with the JA VCV & CVVC Presamp phonemizer (without a lot of CVVX/VCVX’s special abilities) as a sort of compatibility mode.
None of these changes are happening right now, and when they are made I will make a post about them.
Videos I’ve Uploaded

This song is finished using the latest version of Suigin Koora’s VCVX voicebank, mentioned previously! While the voicebank still can’t be downloaded (yet), the video is ready! I loved tuning it.

This was another collaboration wit GraySlate! see more info in the description.
Kobayashi Umeko CVVX Demo - Amedama
This is a demo of Kobayashi Umeko’s CVVX voicebank. Her VCVX voicebank will have a demo soon.
Suigin Koora English Voicebank Bulk demo (Old)
This was a demo of a bunch of Suigin Koora’s English voicebanks. Most of these are quite old so you can just ignore them.
